Dance with Passion's "Night of the Stars" is an evening of dance held at venues around the North West, including the magnificent setting of the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, Forum 28 in Barrow and DWP's own Studio in Preston.  This is a chance to see some of the best dancers in the world perform in a live showcase of their talents.

DWP are very pleased to announce that some of the events also include afternoon workshops.  This is a rare opportunity for dancers of all levels to learn from the Stars.  Previous workshops have included Vincent Simone & Flavia Cacace teaching Cha Cha Cha and Waltz, and Camilla Dallerup & Ian Waite passing on their knowledge of the Rumba from the basics right through to techniques used at Championship level.  These workshops are open to dancers of all levels and beginners are always very welcome.

Dance with Passion were the first dance school in the area to bring the Stars of Strictly Come Dancing to local venues.  Since Dance with Passion's first "Night of the Stars" in March 2006, these sell out events have had dancers such as Camilla Dallerup & Ian Waite, Vincent Simone & Flavia Cacace, James & Ola Jordan, Matthew & Nicole Cutler, Anton Du Beck & Erin Boag, Darren Bennett & Lilia Kopiliova and Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff.

	Closed UK Professional Ballroom Champions 2009   Grand Finalists in the British Open to the World Professional Championships 2009   IDU Amateur Ballroom World Champions, Italy 2006   All time record six times undefeated holders of the British National Amateur Ballroom Championships
	Warren and Kristi have been England's top representatives ever since they found each other to be their perfect match.  Their career took off in the Youth category where they were crowned Under 21 Champions within three weeks of dancing together.  Next, dancing in Rising Stars at their first major international event, they won the gold medal at the UK Open Championships. Major successes followed culminating in their victory at the 2006 IDU World Championships which saw them crowned World Champions in Italy, where they won all five dances.
	The Boyces danced in the grand finals of major events such as the UK, International and British Open for six consecutive years.  Following their sixth victory at the British National Amateur Standard, Warren & Kristi announced they would turn professional.   They then surprised the audience two days later by making their debut as new professionals dancing into the World Professional Ballroom Championship semifinal in 8th position.  They have since now featured as Grand Finalists in the British Open to the World Professional Championships in Blackpool Winter Gardens.

Review of Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff in 'Night of the Stars' at Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday 13th June 2009

On Saturday 13th June 2009 at Blackpool Tower Ballroom there was a Night of the Stars with Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff.

Now in its 4th year, 'Night of the Stars' welcomed, for the first time, the Stars of the 2008 show Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff.  Brian and Kristina performed a stunning showcase of the Cha Cha Cha, American Smooth, Mambo, Rumba and Hustle.  Afterwards Brian and Kristina signed autographs and posed for photographs.

There was also a presentation dance from the Dance with Passion formation teams who are the most successful teams in the North of England.  Recently the DWP Latin American formation teams retained their Listen and Dance formation Championship title in London to add to their FTA title, and successfully made the "Open to the World" Championship finals.  In May they appeared with Anton Du Beck & Erin Boag in Sky1's Ballroom High to demonstrate formation dancing.

With World class shows and lots of general dancing, it was a great evening for all.  In the afternoon there was a Cha Cha Cha Workshop by Brian and Kristina at the DWP Studio.  We look forward to Brian and Kristina performing and teaching again next year.

Review of Camilla and Ian - Friday 9th January 2009

On 9th January Camilla Dallerup and Ian Waite spectacularly kicked off the first 'Night of the Stars' of 2009.  Camilla, fresh from winning the Strictly Come Dancing 2008 title, and Ian gave five stunning performances to a capacity Tower Ballroom.  Showcasing their Latin dances, they first entertained the enthusiastic audience with their Jive, Cha Cha Cha and Samba.

They moved onto their dramatic 'Phantom of the Opera' themed Paso Doble, before finishing with their favourite dance, the Rumba, beautifully danced to Michael Crawford's 'The Story of My Life'.

Afterwards Camilla and Ian signed autographs and posed for photographs late into the night before taking a flight back to London to continue their rehearsals for the Strictly Come Dancing Live national tour. 

The couple are always very welcome at the Tower, and we look forward to their return.
