As we mentioned in our previous newsletter, our juvenile Latin formation team entered ITV1’s Britain’s Got Talent competition. In October they passed the auditions at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool, and made it through to face the judges at the Palace Theatre in Manchester in January. At Manchester the team performed their routine in front of Simon Cowell(!), Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan along with over 20 television cameras, Ant & Dec and a full house.

The judges were so impressed with the performance, which had been specially tailored for the event, that the team were invited through to the next round, which took place in London last Saturday. Unfortunately, due to a long standing prior engagement, the team were unable to accept this offer. In spite of this, the team enjoyed their time on the show, and were encouraged by the judges’ praise and constructive comments.

Watch out for the DWP formation team on ITV1 when Britain’s Got Talent goes out in May.

A big well done to 2 of our pupils who gained great results at the recent British National Championships held at The Winter Gardens, Blackpool. Connor Parkinson & Emma Heaps made the semi final of the British National Juvenile Championships in only their 3nd competition. A BIG WELL DONE TO THEM BOTH AND WE WISH THEM GOOD LUCK IN THEIR JUNIOR CAREERS!

DWP junior Dance Team at Blackpool Inferno

2007 British open Juvenile Formation Champions...

That's right DWP came away with the Juvenile 4 Couple title. An amazing achievement considering the team only started 8 months ago. A lot of hard work has been put in by the children and trainers which include Jason and Shemayne, Debbie and Rachel. Also we had great results in the juvenile 6/8 couple where we came 6th out of 18 and in the Junior 4 couple we gained and incredible 9th out of 23 which was unbelievable as six of the eight dancers had never danced a step 7 months ago.

If you wish to join any of our formation teams please contact us.

DanceWithPassion had a great time at the Britfest. Everyone really enjoyed our classes and the children gave a great performance. Thanks to all involved, and here's to next year!!!!

The DanceWithPassion Juvenile Team seen here with the Swing Guys from Italy, were very proud to be asked to perform at one of the worlds biggest salsa congresses, the BRITSALSAFEST held at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool & hosted by SALSA UK and SALSOLOGY. There were dancers from all over the world in attendance. The team performed on the Saturday night with some of the biggest names in world of salsa. On the same billing as Iris de Brito they were the only British performers on the night. Not only did they perform, but they were asked to open the show case which was a great honour for them. The performance brought the house down and set a great tone for the night ahead.
