Dear Jason.

The dancing is simply the icing on the cake.  Jason has become part of our school community having built up an excellent relationship with all staff, children, parents and governors. Jason is a great communicator and is full of enthusiasm and energy. 

At Ormsgill Jason has demonstrated his belief that all children can succeed.  His classes have helped children develop positive attitudes and self esteem, perseverance, concentration, determination and confidence whilst having fun.  These are all skills transferable to all areas of learning.

Jason has shown a particular ability to channel the energies of children with disaffection. All children succeeded in their dance programme, performing with pride in our end of term Dance Celebration Day.  This had a carnival feel and in the words of a local Governor “it was a first for our school, an event the parents couldn’t stop talking about”.

We aim to build on last year’s success and Jason is now teaching out of hours classes including parents and children learning together.

Jason’s contribution to our school is invaluable.  Children are excited about coming to school and taking part in the dance.  He is able to engage with the children at their level and as a result has had a very positive impact on their self-esteem.
